“FRIENDS” Organisation for Rural Development Society is committed to transforming rural communities across Andhra Pradesh through education, healthcare, self-employment, and social welfare programs. The association focuses on promoting technical and vocational training, agricultural advancement, clean drinking water, and sanitation, while also supporting vulnerable populations such as children, women, the elderly, and persons with disabilities.

With a strong emphasis on sustainability and empowerment, the Society implements initiatives in environmental conservation, renewable energy, animal welfare, and tribal development. It also promotes micro-credit through SHGs, organizes awareness campaigns, and collaborates with institutions like NABARD and NHFDC to support handlooms, food processing, and rural housing for marginalized groups.

Awareness of child marriages

Child marriage remains a deep-rooted social issue that continues to deprive countless children—especially girls—of their childhood, education, and basic rights. At our organization, we are committed to raising awareness about the harmful impacts of child marriage and advocating for the protection and empowerment of every child. Our initiatives focus on educating families and communities about the long-term consequences of early marriage, which include health risks, interrupted education, and increased vulnerability to abuse and poverty.
